Student Trainers Snapped in Action

Imagine being a parent of a child living with mental health issues. According to the CAMH, 61% of Ontario high-school students are living with moderate to severe psychological distress. What if a dog could change everything? COPE Dogs can!

With the pandemic there is a greater need for programs embracing positive influences on youth mental health and wellness. COPE offers youth a chance at a better life with more opportunities to deal with their mental health issues and to be full participants in the community.

The cascade effect our dogs will have with youth and seniors is immeasurable. Ultimately, they will go on to become service dogs for people living with physical disabilities and facility dogs that support places like hospices and advocacy centres.
